Why regular dental check-ups matter 🦷

When was the last time you visited your dentist? If it has been more than six months, it might be time to book a check-up appointment. Good oral hygiene practices and regular dental examinations as advised by your dentist are essential in preventing dental issues.

At your first check-up appointment, we will perform a comprehensive examination along with routine x-rays to check for any oral diseases.

If any treatment is required, we will discuss the relevant options with you and discuss a treatment plan with you along with the associated costs. Please see the ‘fees’ section of our website for a fee guide.

Routine visits to see the hygienist will be discussed with you as this is a key measure to prevent problems from happening. Dental hygienists are dental professionals who help patients maintain their oral health by preventing and treating periodontal disease, and promoting good oral health practice. They will help to keep you away from needing dental treatment with a dentist!

At Cedar Dental & Implant Clinic, we will advise you on the frequency of your dental check-up appointments, as well as your hygiene visit based on risk factors identified and the health of your gums.

In summary, regular check-ups allow us to:

  • Detect oral diseases such as periodontal disease
  • Treat small issues before they become bigger and more expensive problems
  • Screen for oral cancer
  • Provide expert advice tailored to your individual needs

Our friendly team will endeavour to make your visit as comfortable as possible, with the latest dental technology and a caring, patient-centred service.

Prevention is better than cure.
